As a doula, Taylar sees birth and postpartum as an earthly and energetic experience. The transformation of this Rite of Passage deepens and spirals through labor and birth, right into postpartum healing. She believes the Motherbaby continues as one being after birth; the only change is that her baby is in her arms. Taylar respects the fourth trimester as a continuum of the Motherbaby bond. She understands the deep importance of supporting a mother in postpartum healing, as this time imprints on a mother and her family’s life for decades and generations to come. During pregnancy and postpartum, Taylar offers information regarding holistic healing, breastfeeding support, nourishment, self-care and both local and virtual resources.

Postpartum Support:

• If we connect in pregnancy: three natural childbirth education sessions + two postpartum nesting days.
• On-call for our first day together from 37 weeks, but always available by call/text
• Breastfeeding support by text/call/in-person
• Herbal sitz baths
• Bengkung belly binding
• Nourishing lactation snacks and herbal teas
• Meal prep – including grocery shopping when needed
• Birth story sharing and processing
• Tending to the home
• Ceremonial Postpartum Reiki

Reiki is a hands-off energetic healing technique that encourages deep relaxation. It enhances the body’s natural immune system and works beautifully with any current medication or therapies. Reiki travels to any places of pain, imbalance or disease; it goes where it is needed and encourages the flow of energy within you. Just as the Sun’s energy warms us from hundreds of thousands of miles away, Reiki also travels through time and space.

In-person Reiki available depending on location.

Time:

• Guided meditation
• Reiki – 30-60 minutes
• Recording/Expression of experience and guidance

From the perfect unfolding of the hormonal process, through early labor to physiologic pushing, to being skin-to-skin with your sweet babe. We will talk and walk through conception to natural childbirth. We will also practice comfort measures for labor. This is a 3-session in-person or virtual class, and we always have time for loads of questions at the end.

We will briefly discuss hospital protocol, however that is not the main focus of this class. This education is not intended for those needing extensive medical risks/benefits, although I will do my best to answer any of your questions.
